B2B product inquiries from global brands often arrive as comprehensive technical scent briefs that combine physical chemical specifications with descriptive sensory terms.
To improve our ability to analyze and respond to these complex requests, Boweixin Biotech’s export team and application chemists held a joint training session on Thursday titled “Decoding Scent Briefs.”
Our application specialist walked through a technical request from an established European personal care brand to demonstrate the analytical process:
“When a client requests a ‘dewy green note with clean evaporation,’ they are typically looking for high-purity cis-3-hexenol or its derivatives. If they note that the end-product is highly alkaline, we must avoid suggesting esters that naturally hydrolyze under basic conditions.”
This session helped translate subjective sensory descriptions into clear, actionable chemical compounds for our sales representatives.
“Aligning our sales and technical terminology helps us select and send the correct samples faster,” explained our Export Manager. This technical communication training ensures our client-facing teams can offer precise support to international buyers and formulation chemists.
